I asked and you voted to see the products I am currently using on my face now that I am turning 30. This post is not sponsored, these two products I simply saw results after use.

Legitimate results that my man actually started using them as well.

When I turned 29, I obviously had the realization that I was around the corner from no longer being in my twenties. No longer considered part of the youthful age group.

When you have that thought…you also start noticing the changes on your face.

I remember one weekend morning I woke up after a long restful sleep and looked in the mirror and still saw the blackness under my eye…and I started to see wrinkles as well. WHAT…I guess this is my face now.

Determined to slow down progression I went and bought some night and under eye creams. I tried other products before landing on these two.

Face Moisturizer: Aveeno Absolutely Ageless daily moisturizer

Night Creme: Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Restorative Night Cream.

Eye Serum: Kirkland Eye Serum

Aveeno products can be found in any drug store, department store, or amazon.

The Kirkland eye serum is a Costco Brand that you can also find on amazon.

A good place to start is what kind of skin I have… since products will obviously work differently on other skin types.

I have combination skin, sometimes it’s dry and sometimes it can be oily. I also suffer from adult acne. My triggers are hormonal based (I break out every month like clock work), and bacteria. If I touch my face with my hands (which I usually do at work), I will definitely break out in that area. My skin is also VERY sensitive, I tried so many products that just irritated my skin rather than helped it.

Some of the problems I was looking to solve with these products were:

1. I wanted my skin to feel refreshed in the morning and hydrated, instead of dry and puffy. As I’ve been getting older, I’ve noticed that my skin just doesn’t bounce back like it used to.
2.  I needed a daily moisturizer that was good for the summer. My previous moisturizer is perfect for winter, it is a little more dense and has highlighting components that makes my winter skin glow. But in the summer, I want something light and non greasy as I don’t wear a lot of makeup and my skin tone changes from the sun.
3.  I needed something for the bags under my eyes and the wrinkles that were starting to show

Why do I love the Night Cream?

As this product has a blackberry smell, I was hesitant to try it as I thought for sure it was just going to irritate my skin. But it is gentle to sensitive skin AND has a soothing smell perfect for bedtime.

It absorbs quickly and is non greasy. I don’t feel like I am going to bed with a mask of gunk on my face. It just feels hydrated and ready to rest.

In the morning, my face feels like it’s ready for the day! In comparison, without product my face feels like it needs help in the morning to bring back its bounce. Other products made me feel like I had to rewash my face and start over. There would be a layer of dead skin sitting on my face in the morning…GROSS. Absolutely Ageless Night Cream I can get up and go looking refreshed and moisturized.

Why I love the daily moisturizer

Similar to the reasons why I love the night cream, the daily moisturizer is light weight and non greasy. Immediately after I wash my face or shower, I use this daily moisturizer. My skin then feels soft and no longer tight. I found that it makes cover-up apply smoothly and evenly. Some products can ruin the application of cover-up if it doesn’t absorb enough or quickly enough.

I was also surprised at how far a little of the product went. My first try, I took what I thought to be a normal amount of product and it was way too much. A little goes a long way with this moisturizer.

I usually use Aveeno Positively Radiant in the winter, because it has little highlighter specs that make my fair skin appear brighter. But during the summer months, the tone of my skin changes and the flecks of light don’t go well with my summer glow. Andrew used this moisturizer previously, and I asked why he was wearing glitter HAHA. The highlighter specs looked like glitter on his naturally brown skin.

Why I love this eye Serum

Since using this product the fine lines that were starting to show under my eyes have GONE. It definitely helps to smooth out the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes. Disclaimer I was just starting to see fine lines and they were very light. The results were noticeable enough though for my man to start using this product, and it helped to reduce his which were more pronounced then mine.

Since it is also from Costco I got two tubes that last quite a well for very cheap!

I don’t feel like it really moisturizes if that’s what your looking for..

I also don’t think it helped with puffiness or my bags, I attribute the reduction of those symptoms from getting more sleep and using allergy medications. The sleep has helped reduce the blackness under my eyes, and the allergy medications have reduced the puffiness.

I use this product night and day.

All and all I am very happy with these products and recommend giving them a chance. They are no miracle worker, but if your looking for a moisturizer for sensitive skin this is a good option to try. Also if your looking for a product to help reduce lines around your eyes, I would suggest giving Kirkland Eye Serum a try. Although this is the first product I have used, I definitely seen results.
