Well it is officially the last month of Summer… before the fall weather moves in (boo) and the fall style is unleashed (YASSS!).
This is when Andrew and I get our asses in gear and try to squeeze every-bit of summer we can in. We went to Rockwood Conservatory Park this weekend and I styled an outfit that is both summer and fall for this post!
If you read my last post, you know I was completely disappointed about a sunflower field. But guess what there is also a really well organized Lavender field in the Greater Toronto Area. So I styled an outfit to explore this farm!
So this weekend I had a planned a photo shoot about an hour from home, and we made the journey on Saturday only to be deeply disappointed…
We had to make some quick decisions and changes, which turned out to be a great photo session.
It’s my first thrifting haul of 2018.
I haven’t been shopping in what feels like forever, Andrew and I have been very strict with our finances lately. So this haul was long overdue!!
Read on to find out what I purchased, and how much it cost!
I recently went thrift shopping, the first in about a year!!
The first outfit I made with my thrifted items was a chic work fit.
The Canadian Long weekend is here, and that is when I usually do my photos for social media. But of course, it is nothing but rain and fog set for the forecast.
Then a perfect backdrop for a foggy day hit me… the docks with the lighthouse!
So I put on my best rainy day colourful outfit and braved the cold.Â
To make the most of your wardrobe, don’t leave your work wear in a special place in your closet. Doomed to only be dragged out on sad mornings getting ready for the Nine to Five!
Re-purpose your work wear and style it for casual wear or a date night look.
I styled a work blazer and pink work skirt for weekend looks in the following post…
A sure way to add some personality to your work wardrobe is to add a lot of colour.
I don’t usually gravitate towards bright colours in my wardrobe, but when shopping for work wear…I always seek out new and exciting colours.
…
When shopping at Marshalls, I seen this brightly coloured cat design jacket. I jokingly said to my man… what if i wanted this? After contemplating his answer, I realized I wanted it. Some of the best items in my wardrobe were definitely unexpected.
I paired my blue hues with some bright pink and orange.
The outfit definitely has some POP.
Even though this outfit appears to be really “Put it together” it is remarkably comfortable.
I would definitely recommend purchasing a relaxed jacket. It adds an easy sophistication to an outfit.

I wanted a sleeveless grey maxi dress for a awhile now.
I have seen this dress styled in so many ways, I knew I had to add it to my wardrobe. It would serve my mood-styling very well. Today I feel classy (grey maxi), today I feel bad ass (grey maxi), today i feel like… just throwing something on …(grey maxi).
It just works on so many levels.
